Surface Coatings provide enhanced performance and value added to metals and other materials.  PORETEGE investigates and develops advanced and practical surface technologies and solutions applicable for the industry, including those related to electroplating, anodizing, and galvanizing.

PORETEGE’s interested in microstructural features of materials, such as porosity and crystallographic texture, and how they contribute to enhance materials’ properties and performance.  Metal foams are among the unique materials being explored.

PORETEGE team spearheads a collaboration with national agencies and iBDS partners to develop a framework to promote SMEs in surface coatings industry to achieve high competency and become innovation-driven enterprises (IDEs)
